I’m Ben Rosman - an attorney licensed in Oregon and Michigan who spent most of the past decade not in a law firm, but running a company.

From 2014 to 2024, I co-founded and led PSI Labs, a state-licensed cannabis testing laboratory, operating under some of the most highly regulated and scrutinized state and federal oversight. As CEO, I was also the company's in-house legal, regulatory, and compliance lead. I interpreted statutes, negotiated contracts, managed regulatory investigations, engaged directly with legislators and state agencies, and participated in rulemaking - including drafting proposed standards that were ultimately adopted. I co-founded an industry coalition. I sat in both seats at once.

That experience is the foundation of this practice.

Executives navigating regulatory or contractual complexity don't always need more analysis. They need someone who can help them see clearly - where the real exposure is, which risks are worth managing, and when to escalate. My role is to provide that judgment before legal or operational resources are committed.

Advisory services here are non-legal in nature, clearly scoped, and priced to reflect the value of the work rather than the overhead of a law firm. When legal services are the right tool, I provide them directly - always billed separately and clearly distinguished from advisory work.
